::: For Our Sister in Christ Heather Whalley

Heather's Family: Husband Seth and Her Children Ashley, kyler and Julia.

On April 10, 2008, our dear brother and sister Seth and Heather Whalley were struck by an automobile while taking a walk on vacation in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sadly, Heather did not recover from her injuries and went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 12. Seth survived the accident and with the aid of the prayers of the saints, has made miraculous progress from his head and body injuries. Thankfully, their three children, Ashley, Kyler and Julia were with their grandmother at the time of the accident.   Your continued prayers for physical healing for Seth and emotional healing for the entire family are greatly appreciated. In addition, please pray for God’s wisdom for Seth as he makes important decisions regarding his family.   If you would like to help meet the financial needs of the Whalley family, contributions can be mailed to: Fall River Church of Christ (make checks payable to) 840 Rock Street Fall River, MA 02740 Attn: Whalley Family Fund

What To Expect When You Visit...

WELCOME: We always try to greet our visitors warmly because we know how important each individual is in the eyes of God. We are thankful and honored that you have taken the time and made the effort to be with us.

COMMUNION: (or Lord’s Supper). Every Sunday we share in this meal as a token of our fellowship with God and as a reminder of what our Savior sacrificed to make our fellowship with Him possible. It is a time both for celebration of our life in God and for personal reflection.

PRAYER: Prayer is our avenue of communication with God, and as such it is an integral part of our service. If you have any prayer requests we will be happy to include them in our service and add them to out list of prayer needs.

SINGING: You’ll discover that we enjoy singing too, as it is one of our primary ways of praising God. You can join in, or just listen. You’ll notice, too, that our singing is a cappella, that is, singing without instrumental accompaniment. We enjoy this style because it encourages everyone to participate and because it is the style of the early Christian church.

OFFERING: An offering will be taken during the service. This is, of course, how our church finances the many things we do and want to do in the future. If you are visiting with us, we do not expect you to participate in this. Instead, please use this time to fill out a visitor’s card and place it in the basket.

PREACHING/TEACHING: You can expect to hear a message from the Bible, God’s word. We intend our messages to be practical and relevant to our lives, as well as challenging. During this time, children from six months to thirteen years are invited to participate in a class geared to their age level.
